Trio Wins 2025 Inclusive Employer Award
We’re proud to share that Trio Bistro & Lounge has been selected as a recipient of the 2025 Inclusive Employer Award from LiveWorkPlay, a local organization that helps people with intellectual disabilities and autistic persons to find meaningful employment and community inclusion. This recognition celebrates our experience welcoming Carl Sanderson to the Trio team in the fall of 2024. From the very beginning, we wanted to ensure Carl had the support and structure he needed to feel confident in his role. Working with LiveWorkPlay, we developed onboarding tools tailored to his strengths and made sure to foster strong relationships between Carl and his coworkers. Carl quickly became a valued member of our team. We gave him the independence to grow into his responsibilities, and as we learned more about what made him shine, we adjusted his role to let those strengths flourish. His presence has not only contributed to the day-to-day operations of Trio but has also deepened our team’s understanding of inclusive work practices and the value of diverse perspectives. At Trio, we believe hospitality goes beyond our guests—it’s also about how we treat one another. This award is a reflection of the kind of workplace culture we strive to create every day: respectful, welcoming, and collaborative.
